  Big fans of Shoyu Sushi on Brimhall. He lovely and sweet Michele (owner) continues to spoil my daughter and they just love each other.
  
  Today, I tried the Orange Blossom Roll and the Playboy roll. They were both delicious. As with the Mount Vernon location, his location is spotless clean and has excellent service. The fish is super fresh, and the rolls will fill you up fast. The only issue you will have might be with the parking.
  
  If you notice I gave 5 stars, it is because I have been here several times and it is always fantastic! Never a bad experience or bad food. When at Shoyu, don't forget to check out the wine list.
  
  Wonderful food, wonderful people, and spoiling children makes this one of my favorite places when I'm in Northwest Bakersfield. Give them a try, I think you will be happy you did.

  I absolutely love the food! I probably come like 2-3 times a month during lunch time. They have ONE server (Erick) hes amazing . but it gets super packed , and honestly theres times where im late to work because my food isnt out on time because hes to busy attending more customers. I feel like atleast another server would be nice . The owner occasionally comes out and helps and even give samples of a dish she makes . She has a very strong voice but she's super nice.
  PLEASE Michelle hire another server.

  I loved thos place! The service was great, the hostess greeted us promptly and was very friendly.  The waitress was friendly and personable. While we were waiting for our food to show up the chef came out with samples of food they were experimenting with.
  
  To summarize the staff was friendly and polite, and the food was delicious and fresh. I will be back again soon

  I really thought I would miss Sushi Moon but I am more the satisfied with shoju sushi. Everything is so wonderful and they have items you dont always see in Bakersfield.  I ordered the unagi bowl which is ell over rice and I was very happy! They greet you walking in and you have the choice of sitting at the sushi bar or at a comfortable table. They even made sure people did not sit in the sun. The owner kept bringing me little plates of items to try. The eggplant needs to be on the menu. I was offered refills and water and a fork (which I refused) again not everywhere do businesses check back in. Thank you for the wonderful service
  If you are hesitant dont be. And they really decluttered, the tables are no longer covered in ads again thank you!

  I'm not 100% sure if both Shoyu restaurants are owned by the same person but I definitely like the Mt. Vernon location a little more. We had dinner Thursday night around 8:30 it wasn't super busy but it was not empty either. We got sat after 5 min and were seated for around 10-12 min before we received any service. Staff was super friendly and the rolls were pretty good. Nothing to really rave about, wouldn't take it knock it yet. I think I would like to come back again.
